This panel features craft talks by essayists whose work appears in the University of Nebraska Press’s anthology A Harp in the Stars, which Aimee Nezhukumatathil calls “a fascinating look into the bright heart of what the lyric essay can be.” Contributors (Angie Chuang, Heidi Czerwiec, Sayantani Dasgupta, Laurie Easter, and editor Randon Billings Noble) will read brief excerpts of a segmented essay, a braid, a hermit crab essay in the form of a word search puzzle, and a hybrid lyric craft essay, and discuss techniques and strategies for writing in these forms.
